This was the third day running, the mage silently stewed as he took stock of the situation. He'd asked Hawke to help him locate the ingredients for a…ah, "potion" (inwardly, he winced at the necessary deception) and his fellow mage had naturally obliged. This circumstance meant that he'd been accompanying her these past three days, something of a rare occurrence. But it was understandable that she didn't often ask him to assist on her adventures, pity that it was; two rather well-known mages travelling in company together would be like an open invitation for the bloody templars.

He's watching me from across the room. He's looking at me.

His golden eyes are like anesthesia, numbing my whole body. When he's looking at me, I can't move, I can't breathe. I can't control my body. My hands are moving on their own, turning the pages in the spell books, taking notes, but I don't know what I'm doing. It's all a blur in my head. Because I can't concentrate when he's looking at me.

I spent most of yesterday throwing this together. I'm not sure if it's entirely ready, but I felt I owed it to you folks because Chapter 14 was pretty ... I dunno... uneventful?

This story oozes all the anger and frustration that many gamers must have experienced during their first Amell/Surana/Broska/Aeducan playthrough (those who romanced Alistair) 
I can perceive your heartache and urge to throttle him and I can understand it, I'll never figure out why Alistair dumped the woman he loved to marry another one who was renowned for being sterile as well 
(I doubt it was Cailan's 'fault' if Anora never gave birth to a heir). I've always thought that Aly was so convinced that being a king was a misfortune that he didn't even try to imagine he could have been a happy one
